YiDing Yu a practicing physician, researcher, innovator, and entrepreneur.
As a physician, YiDing is passionate about improving health care delivery to provide timely, high-quality, cost-effective care to her patients. She practices at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates and serves as Chief Innovation Engineer for Atrius Health, the largest nonprofit independent multi-specialty medical group in the Northeast.
She has been actively involved with healthcare delivery improvement projects at both Harvard Vanguard and the Brigham and Women's Hospital, and has received the President's Prize for Value-Based Healthcare from Partners Healthcare, the Martin P. Solomon Award for Primary Care, and named a 40 Under 40 Healthcare Innovator in recognition of her work.
Trained in economics and health policy at Harvard, YiDing has conducted research as a Doris Duke Clinical Research Fellow, provided public health training and designed health information systems for Eastern Burma, published in peer-reviewed medical journals, presented at national conferences, and is the recipient of the 2013 Johns Hopkins Diane Becker Research Award in Clinical Epidemiology.
YiDing is also Founder and CEO of Twiage, an award-winning mobile platform that empowers first responders and hospitals to deliver more timely, cost-effective prehospital care. Her interest in innovation, design, and web development began in high school, when she built her first e-commerce company and won her first website development award at the Oracle Thinkquest Competition. She has since designed dozens of websites and lent her creativity to philanthropic causes and to medical innovation.
Why Healthcare? I have wanted to be a doctor my whole life. My mother influenced me. I love medicine and I love helping other people.

How have you created results by doing things differently? Through Twiage, we were able to reduce the total time per patient for 15 minutes and the satisfaction rates were fantastic.
